The
winners of Open stakes are rewarded with the opportunity to compete in
the National Championships. Dogs that win an award at our trials gain
an entry into the Kennel Club Stud Book.
The Club runs a full programme of Field Trials, licensed by the Kennel Club, on shoots in Devon by kind permission of land owners and shooting syndicates. We work closely with shoot managers and their game-keepers to ensure that trials are run to a high standard.
The Club is licensed to run the following trials each season:
A one-day Novice Any Variety Retriever Stake
Two one-day Open Any Variety Retriever Stakes
A Novice Cocker Spaniel Stake
Two Novice Any Variety Spaniel Stakes
An Open English
Springer Spaniel Stake
